What happens after bushfire destroys South Australia's favourite bike riding spot?
Fox Creek Bike Park has a long history of mountain biking on ForestrySA land based near Lenswood. It began as an organic activity and with the regular events, later has become the premier riding destination in South Australia. Whilst devastating, the Cudlee Creek Fire has instigated a new phase of development and investment which will enhance ForestrySA’s strategic purpose to support multi-use forestry with flow on effects of a bike economy on the local community.
The Mission
The primary goal is to disseminate information via an integrated approach about the Fox Creek Bike Park rebuild progress, including scheduled logging, aerial spraying, open/closed trails, volunteer maintenance days and the like.
The Outcome
Plastyk incorporated and customised the Trailforks online off-road bicycle trail library, a news blog for regular updates and Instagram integration for social updates. Page content is all handled via our customised and easy to use Content Management System.
The Impact
As part of stage one, Fox Creek Bike Park has a new online home ready to keep the cycling community engaged and informed every pedal of the way.
